Hi, my name is Jordyn I’m currently studying second year Interior and Environmental Design at Dundee University. Before joining the university and moving here, I had never been to Dundee and I didn’t have very high expectations for the city. When I told people I would be moving to Dundee, many people had the same low expectations, laughed and teased, judging the city and the people who live here. However, once I moved here and began my course, my thoughts and opinions continued to change and I began to see Dundee in a different light. The city that had once been named ‘Scum Dee’ was now ‘Britain’s coolest little city’. The people I met were nice and the city is beginning to continue to grow and improve in so many ways. I love this city and the university and everything it has to offer.
Dundee is a great city with so much potential and so much to offer but with very low and bad perceptions from the public. In my opinion these perceptions can and will easily be changed by design!
