The waterfront project is an on going £1bn development on land along 8km of the Tay River. This development is a really important project for Dundee and I think it will bring a lot of good things to the city. Dundee deserves a better reputation than it has at the moment and this huge project will create the good image it does deserve. I believe this project will bring in tourists and business’s from all over and will help this little city grow and develop in to an amazing place and a beautiful city.

The waterfront may not look like much for now to some people but it is exciting to see the progress step by step. Its amazing to see the transformation and seeing this just excites me more and more for what is to come and this will all be worth it in the end.

The development project includes multiple areas including Dundee Rail Station, Slessor Gardens, V&A Museum of Design and another 8 development sites that haven’t yet been specified.

This project is said:
“To transform the City of Dundee into a world leading waterfront destination for visitors and businesses through the enhancement of its physical, economic and cultural assets.”
My favourite development site and project that I am most excited about is the V&A museum of design that is said to be complete by late 2017. It will be great to have a museum close by that is dedicated to only design but display so many aspects of it. This will be something interesting for Scotland itself as well as a great opportunity for Dundee.
